Educating All Students with Excellence (EASE) conferenc

Broward County Public Schools invites you to share your knowledge and expertise with others by submitting a presentation proposal for the Educating ALL Students with Excellence (EASE) Conference. The purpose of this conference is to create a culturally progressive and socially reflective school and community that represents, supports, and celebrates diversity at all levels.

Deadline for submission: September 15, 2019

Workshop Guidelines

Sessions should include professional development topics that address the education of students with disabilities
Sessions must not be conducted as sales presentations
Workshops will be 60 minutes long and run concurrently with other sessions
Handouts are strongly encouraged
Supplemental resources will be provided if available
Limit sessions to no more than 2-3 presenters
Handouts: Prepare 30 to 50 copies
PowerPoint presentations Due by October 1, 2019

Selection Criteria

Potential to attract, engage, and stimulate participants
Clarity of content, presentation techniques, and learning objectives
Relevance and appeal to a targeted audience
Lively and interactive format that will facilitate interaction among participants
Presenter’s experience and qualifications
Deliverables/supplemental resources

EASE brings parents, school administrators, general and special education teachers, and service providers together for a day filled with informative, educational and awareness-building sessions on a broad range of special education topics that promote inclusive practices for students with disabilities.
